Are you ready for Horror Realm 2010?!?
Hey convention goers, don't forget to add another stop on your calendar this upcoming September as Horror Realm is back for it's second year! Last year I had a great time and hope you can all make it out for what looks to be another awesome lineup of guests. The convention is September 17 - 19th and early guests include Ken Foree, John Amplas, Debbie Rochon and many more to come. Not only that but there will be films screening all weekend, Q&A panels (last years Ken Foree Q&A's was so impressive I'm looking forward to him doing a part 2!) and much much more. So get those tickets and plan on coming out to Horror Realm 2010!
Look what Facets Multimedia is releasing on May 25th!
- Kamikaze Hearts will be released by Facets Multimedia on May 25th, 2010. The film stars legendary adult film actress Sharon Mitchell and was directed by Juliet Bashore.
I first heard of this film from a friend of mine who is writing a book on adult films. He asked if I had ever seen it and I told him that I hadn't. After searching the internet I found out that not only was it not out on DVD, but was even incredibly difficult to find on VHS. It just so happened around the same time I ran into the legendary 42nd Street Pete at Cinema Wasteland to ask him if he had ever seen it. Not only did I find that out, but I also found out that he had been trying to locate a copy himself. Then a few weeks later it hit me. One of the great things about doing a website like Bloodtype Online is all of the contact you have with film companies and the great people that work for them. One of those companies I deal with happened to be Facets. I decided to email them asking if they still held the rights to the film, only to find out that they did. I asked if there were any chance they were planning a re-release of Kamikaze Hearts and at the time there weren't. Now that all has changed as my contact with Facets let me know that it was planning to be released on May 25th! Facets has yet to officially annouce the release but from everything I understand it's going to happen and have been given the okay to spread the word. So if you're a fan of vintage adult films, this is surely a time capsule of the industry that will fit perfectly in your collection!
